Covenant House Toronto and how they help children and youth in crisis…
Founded in 1982, Covenant House Toronto is the largest homeless youth organization in Canada, providing life-changing care to victims of sex trafficking, homelessness and people suffering with trauma and mental health issues while tirelessly fighting to make sure others are spared from such fate.
Since its establishment, the people at Covenant House Toronto have provided housing solutions, health and well-being support, skill development training and unconditional care to more than 100,000 children and youth through the widest range of 24-7 services.
Each day, Covenant House Toronto welcomes people “to drop in, get a bite to eat, do a load of laundry, get medical care or stay the night in our 96-bed shelter. Everyone who walks through the door is connected with a youth worker who will help them get the support they need, access the right services and make a personalized plan to gain control of their life.”1

Covenant House Toronto’s mission of helping children and youth who are homeless, trafficked, or at risk includes:
- Meeting the immediate needs of children and youth and working with them to achieve their dreams
- Providing housing options and 24/7 health and well-being support
- Arming young people with the skills and training needed to thrive in the world while offering continual care
- Advocating for long-term change for youth by influencing public policy and leading awareness
- Reconnecting children and youth with families and support networks

Since 2014, we’ve donated to more than 40 Canadian charities through our social responsibility initiatives. We know it’s a privilege to handle our clients’ insurance needs and that’s why GIVING frequently, consistently and GENEROUSLY is essential to all of us.
Each year, a portion of ALIGNED Insurance profits are donated to a Canadian charity that is nominated by an ALIGNED client. During the Giving Generously campaign, people vote by visiting web pages that ALIGNED builds to celebrate each charity and the great work they do.
Our annual Giving Generously donation is made to the registered Canadian charity that receives the most “votes” which are recorded as web page sessions.
